Romans 3:23

24 Mar

…for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

-Romans 3:23

We’ve all fallen short.  We’ve all sinned and failed.  But the good news is we have God’s grace!  Praise God and give him thanks today and everyday!

Worry Less, Pray More

28 Jan

My prayer this week is to worry less and pray more.

Philippians 4:6 says:

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

Feeling Alone?

10 Jan

Do you ever feel like you’re alone?  Like your cry out to the Lord hasn’t been heard or that God is forgetting you?  Stop and re-read Psalm 13.  David felt the same way.  But don’t give it.  God can still hear your prayers.  He is with you and He will never abandon you.  Call our to God and ask Him to answer your prayers according to His will.  His love is unfailing and He has been good to us!

A Gorgeous Fall Day

25 Nov

Psalm 106:1

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his loves endures forever.

Sometimes you just have to stop and thank God for everything, including the gift of life, laughter and a gorgeous fall day!

Plan A

2 Nov

Sometimes plan A doesn’t always work.  In fact, sometimes plan A, B and C don’t turn out the way you wanted them to.  But I want you to know that God has a plan for you.  A plan for you to prosper.  A plan full of hope and a beautiful future.  Just pray!

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. -Jeremiah 29:11

I praise You…

A Day In The Life Of Wrap-Up

15 Aug

Over the last month I have introduced you to 5 amazing women who all go about their day so differently all the while living in the same world, doing the same thing; living life!  I honestly didn’t read one of the interviews and think, “Wow, Erin’s day is similar to Leigh’s!”  Here is a quick wrap-up on my thoughts:

1. Work.  For Maria, Leigh and Jennifer their job took a huge chunk out of their day.

2. Commute.  I knew Maria worked in the city but I am shocked by the planning that goes into commuting.  She has to plan everyday around the train schedule.

3. Planning.  My girl Erin is a planning machine.  I guess that’s what required if you want to keep an orderly house with 4 young children.  However, Erin isn’t the only one planning, every one seem to have some type of plan to get things off and rolling in the morning and at the end of the work day.

4. Routine.  Similar to planning, I think Erin and Ace have mastered a routine.  Of course some routines get bumps in the middle but having a routine keeps everyone in order.

5. Husband Time.  One of my favorite things to read was that at the end of the day, everyone found time to skype, call or talk to their husbands.

Although life may be different for families with 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4 children, everyone has a way of making it work. My prayer for everyone today is you could see that God is always with you.  When you have a long day at work or your patience is tested with the kids, remember that God would never leave nor forsake you.  Call on Him!  (Deuteronomy 31:6).

1 Wish

20 Jun

In 1 Kings 3:5 the scripture reads:

At Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon during the night in a drea, and God said, “Ask for whatever you want me to give you.”

At this very moment, if God said He’d give you one wish, one want, one desire what would you ask for?

Words: Psalm 141:3

13 May

About a month ago, I wrote a post about The Power of Words.  This morning I came across this verse:

Set a guard over my mouth, O Lord; keep watch over the door of my lips. -Psalm 141:3

After reading the thoughts on the verse it really helped me realize that the words out of our mouths truly are the feelings that we are feeling in our hearts.  How many of us have slipped up and probably said something we shouldn’t have?  Of course, we all have.  But have you ever stopped and thought, that’s exactly what you were feeling but there was probably a better way to say it?

My prayer for you you today is that you will allow the Lord to bless your tongue the way He has blessed your heart!
