Hurricane Irene 2011

29 Aug

Over the last week, almost everyone along the East Coast has experience the effects of Hurricane Irene.  For us New Englanders we are used to Nor’Easters so the fact that we were going to be hit with massive amounts of rain that would cause flooding was something new to all of us.  And for once, the predictions were correct.  Towns all around us were flooded and trees were uprooted.  Luckily for us, we just had a little rain and some wind but 5 minutes down the road is still experiencing flooding.  Here are a few pictures for towns within 5-20 miles of us.

A tropical storm/hurricane and a earth quake on the East Coast all in the same week?  Crazy!
